The grouping of layers is possible by assigning them to layer groups.
Predefined layer groups are already available in NET Cloud. These can be adjusted and extended under the menu item Configuration > Material Marketplace > Layer Groups.
The advantage of using layer groups is the improved clarity of the map legend and the possibility for the user to switch entire groups on or off with a single click.
Add layer
In the layer overview of the project, additional layers can be added to the NET Cloud project via the buttons “Search layer” or “Add layer”.
The layer to be added must be published in the GeoServer. Using “Search layer”, you receive an overview of all available layers of the connected GeoServer. The overview can be restricted via the slider (1) to layers not yet added to NET Cloud. However, adding the same layer multiple times is possible.
After selecting one or more layers, they are added to the NET Cloud project via “Submit”.
Important:
The new layers are not yet “published”, and the individual settings should be reviewed and adjusted.
Special layers
- tb_feature_document
This layer must be included in every NET Cloud project. It is required for linking documents to objects. It contains no geometry and is not displayed on the map. The name of this special layer must not be changed in either NET Cloud or the GeoServer and must follow the format workspace:layername (e.g. “nm_dev_nfs:tb_feature_document”).
- documents
The “documents” layer is a NET Cloud layer that creates a link between the photos and the entries in Azure Blob Storage. This layer is not stored in a NET database. It displays the coordinates of the images on the map. The name of this special layer must follow the format workspace:layername (e.g. “nm_dev_nfs:documents”).
