NET Maps projects open up a whole new dimension of using NET Cloud for users. In NET Maps, users can explore specific areas within their project through so-called map queries. This feature allows for the customization of colors, lines, and symbols, enabling users to tailor the display to their personal preferences.
Registration
In practice, it is often necessary to grant external individuals access to your NET Maps project so that they can download specific map queries for certain areas. For those who are not yet registered with NET Cloud, it is important to provide them with quick and easy access to your NET Maps project. To facilitate this, external individuals can be given the option to self-register with NET Cloud. In the administration section, there is a special link that can be sent to new users. Through this link, they can register themselves independently.
After the prospective NET Cloud user clicks on the provided link, they will be directed to a form where they can enter all relevant information. This form also allows them to set their password.
Plot Collection
Before a user can create and download a map sheet, they must first select or create a map collection. A map collection functions like a folder, allowing users to gather and organize map sheets. This enables users to categorize map sheets by theme and client.
To create a new plot collection, the user simply needs to click the button labeled "New Plot Collection."
After clicking this button, the user is asked to fill out a form. Here, the user can describe the map collection in detail.
By clicking the “Save” button, the user has the option to save the newly created map collection.
Map sheet
After a map collection has been created, it is now possible to add a new map sheet to it. To do this, simply click the “New map sheet” button in the lower left corner of the map.
In the next step, the user must fill out a form in which they can define a template, scale, and the resolution of the map sheet.
It is now possible to select the desired area that should be displayed on the map sheet on the map. The user can do this by freely marking an area on the map using the blue rectangle or by clicking on one of the plus symbols at the edge of an already existing map sheet. In this way, a new map sheet is added at that location.
Map Outputs
After the user has created a map collection and map sheets, they can find them in the overview below the map. The new map sheets are created here and assigned to the corresponding map collection. In the overview, the user also has the option to download the completed map sheets with a single click.
