Download und Installation of the iOS App
The NET Scan App is already pre-installed on the NET Scan Kit provided by TKI.
Logging into the App
Login is done via the menu icon from the main view under "Log In". Alternatively, the login page can also be accessed via “Select project…”.
To log in, you need to enter the instance, email address, and password. The process is completed by clicking "Log In", or can be canceled by selecting "Log In Later".
A successful login leads directly to the project selection screen. Here, the desired project can be selected, after which the main view appears again. If scans already exist within the selected project, they will be displayed in the list view under “Remote Scans.”
Required Permissions
To fully utilize all features of the app, the following permissions are required:
Permission to use Bluetooth is essential for connecting the iPhone to the external GNSS receiver. The receiver is necessary for accurate geo-positioning of scans. Without these permissions, precise positioning cannot be ensured.
Location permission is required for fallback positioning. It is used only if a connection to the external GNSS receiver is not possible. Otherwise, the app suppresses internal location services in favor of the more accurate external GNSS receiver.
Camera access is linked to core functions of the NET Scan App. Without this permission, creating scans, photos, points, and lines with the app is not possible.
Using the External GNSS Receiver
The external GNSS receiver is turned on using the power button. The blue light around the power button indicates that it has been successfully activated.
For optimal use, the iPhone should be mounted onto the dedicated holder. The holder supports both portrait and landscape orientation.
The app connects automatically to the external GNSS receiver. Once the connection is established, it is indicated in Scan Mode by the antenna icon in the top bar.
