Overview of the User Interface

Main Screen

The main screen consists of the menu icon, the project selection, the map toggle, a list of all recorded scans, and the scan start button.

Tapping the menu icon provides access to the settings and the option to log out of the Scan App. The project selection displays the currently active project. Tapping on it allows you to choose a different project, if available.

Switching to the map view changes the overview to a map-based layout. Navigation follows familiar map controls: the map can be moved with one finger and zoomed with two fingers. Scans are displayed on the map as clusters. To view scan details, tap on the corresponding scan or cluster. The list view then slides up from the bottom of the screen, allowing you to select the correct scan.

The scan list is divided into three categories: New Scans, Scans on Device, and Remote Scans. New Scans include all scans that have been saved but not yet uploaded. Scans on Device are stored locally and available on the iPhone. Remote Scans have already been uploaded to the NET Cloud but are no longer stored on the device.

Each scan in this list can be uploaded individually using the corresponding button in the right-hand column. If you want to upload all scans at once, this can be done via the "Upload All" icon in the upper-right corner.

Each scan entry displays a thumbnail of the scan, the title—ideally based on the location—, the date and time of the scan, and indicators showing whether points, lines, and photos were added. A scan can be tapped to open the detailed view.

Scan Detail Page

The detail page provides additional information about the selected scan. For all scans, the title, scan date and time, and the associated project are displayed. If the positional accuracy is poor, a corresponding warning message appears below this information.

Additional details and functions are only available for scans on the device and for new scans. More information about the available content and editing options can be found in Section 4: Post-Processing.

Below the title, the scan preview is displayed. Tapping on it allows you to view the scan in a 3D view or export it in various formats.
