The specified versions for Autodesk AutoCAD and Map 3D are the ones for which NET was developed. Generally, newer versions can also be used. However, there have been occasional updates in the past that caused crashes in NET.
Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D 2025: Currently, we advise against the productive use of the 2025 version of Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D. In our tests, this version of Map 3D has proven to be unstable. Additionally, the compatible PGP version is still under development.
Note on the AutoCAD Map 3D versions
Please note the minimum required versions of Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D for the operation of NET 14.1. The version for Autodesk Map 3D 2025 has been updated since NET 14.0. The patched version is required for NET to work correctly.
Please check your installed AutoCAD Map 3D version and pay attention to these two version details when doing so:
Release NET 14.2.1 in Detail
NET Design
General
-
An error in recognizing the character set that could occur when exporting shape files from NET Design has been fixed.
-
In the preprocessing step “Split trenches at surfaces”, in that the (trench) type of the surface is automatically transferred to the resulting trenches after splitting, the trenches that are already completely within the surface polygon also receive the corresponding type.
NET Engineering
General
-
Within a trench, the respective assignments to the snap points in the (trench/duct) cross-section can be changed using the workflow '(Assign ducts/cables to another snap point)'. In this context, zooming in on the affected cross-section and its highlighting have been optimized.
-
When creating new data records via the element library, zero values of attributes are now correctly adopted.
-
When configuring node names for tree views, it is now possible to use information from multiple tables. If an attribute contains an ID that references a domain table or object class, it is now also possible to access the actual value or the associated attributes. Previously, only the ID itself could be used for the name.
-
During LLD, parcels are transferred from NET Design to NET Engineering.
Workflows
-
When opening the duct connection editor in the dialog of the duct fitting the program crashed if a connected duct has an invalid geometry. This error is fixed now.
-
If the automatic length calculation is deactivated in the NET options and the “Split ducts”, “Split cable (create terminator/closure)” or “Split telephony cable (create closure)” workflow is executed, the lengths of the ducts/cables are no longer calculated unnecessarily.
-
After assigning a duct/cable to a segment/duct, the entire route of the duct/cable is no longer zoomed at in the end.
Dialogs
-
The order of the menu items under “Overviews/Reports” has been adjusted to improve clarity between FO and corresponding TP forms.
Reports
-
An error in the generation of various reports in connection with a form filter has been fixed.
Import
-
Fixed a bug that caused the columns in the data preview on page 3 to be displayed not sorted.
-
There were rounding errors in data where the source coordinate system corresponded to the set industry model coordinate system. This error has been fixed.
-
A new button has been added to pages 2-4 of the general import. This is used to open the form for the selected target feature class.
-
The “Update geometries” option has been removed. The geometries are updated during import if a geometry attribute of the target feature class has been selected.
-
The display of the filter conditions for the general import has been improved.
-
During the general import, relation data records are now correctly recognized and reused instead of creating new duplicates for each run and multiple objects.
-
Fixed a bug that caused the data preview to not open when importing from CSV and Excel files.
-
On the page with the attribute assignments, a date selection is now displayed for the constant selection for date fields.
-
The display of the attribute assignments for the general import has been improved.
-
It is now possible to select the existing custom attributes during the general import.
-
The general import now also supports the Mercator Auxiliary Sphere projection.
Bill of Materials
-
Unset entries in the status column of the material list are now explicitly displayed as “<empty>” to make missing values clearly recognizable.
-
The export of the material list from NET Engineering now also includes markers.
Redlining
-
Redlining actions can now be executed via IMBatch.
-
The configuration of node names in tree views has been extended to allow customization of names for redlining objects.
Documentation Pack
-
Empty tokens outside of subfolders now correctly remain empty and are no longer replaced by the token name.
One-click-maintenance
-
The 1-click maintenance tasks “NET Engineering: Buildings”, “Industry Model Sequences”, “NET Engineering: label regeneration definitions” and “NET Engineering: Check duct insertions” can now be executed in IMBatch.
