Release NET 14.3 in Detail

General

  • An error in the processing of shape files has been fixed: empty fields or incompatible field types previously caused an error. These cases are now correctly recognised – instead of an error, the value ‘no value’ is returned for the corresponding fields.

Documentation Pack

  • Fixed an issue where incorrect values were read from layouts with multiple viewports during the “Create plot sequences” workflow.
  • An issue when linking new documents from the DocPack output to the document management was fixed.

NET Design

atesio Integration

  • Atesio STRATEGIC 2024 is now supported.

Comsof Fiber Integration

  • Fixed a bug that caused AutoCAD to crash when the Comsof Advanced Settings window was closed before the “Configure Input.Properties” window.
  • The Comsof Fiber 24.2.X versions have been activated and can be used for the calculation. These new versions support duct-clusters.

Dialogs

  • “Connection Method” has been consistently renamed to “Connection Type” across all forms and domain tables.

Low level design

  • Conversion from NET Design to NET Engineering now fills the position number of the segment ducts, and the ducts in the trench form are sorted accordingly by this position number.

NET Engineering

General

  • Fixed a bug that caused the structure update to create a naming scheme twice.
  • The view for FO cable sections or TP cable sections has been expanded to include the number of wired fibers or wires, so that this can now be filtered in the display model, for example.

Import

  • OSM Overpass Endpunkt field value is autopopulated successfully when OSM Straßen Import plugin is opened
  • A help button has been added to the general import, which leads directly to the import overview page in the NET Help Center.
  • A new button “Test Run” is added to general Import window.
  • It is now possible to save the import template when closing the import window.
  • The source coordinate system is now automatically applied from the document.
  • A general notification message is now displayed in the general import whenever a link contains errors or warnings in its subordinate attributes.
  • The geometry attributes have been removed from the attribute selection for the data matching.
  • The validation message for the possible conversion of the source data type is now no longer displayed as a warning, but as a note.
  • If you delete or edit the source file while the same file is open in the import window, a corresponding message will be displayed
  • When importing Infas geodata, the selection of the cluster name has been changed. In addition, the entries are now sorted in ascending order.
  • The import details are now available in the protocol.
  • The filter selection has been extended to include the “Does not contain” attribute filter.
  • The spatial filter is now correctly removed when the geometry columns are set to ‚None‘.
  • An error that occurred during attributive filtering of invalid geometries has been fixed.
  • The summary of errors and warnings for attribute assignments is now displayed.
  • The display of the result message for the general import has been improved.
  • The display and behaviour of links in the attribute assignments have been improved. The selected link is now displayed as the source attribute.

Workflows

  • In the “Create house lead-in” workflow, the CAD length of the relevant ducts and cables is now calculated again as expected if automatic length calculation is activated in the NET options.
  • The automatic length calculation now calculates the CAD length of a microduct again if the parent duct has its own geometry and is split using the “Split ducts” workflow.
  • The user interface of the “Split FO cable” and “Split telephony cable” workflows has been completely revised and optimized by integrating the feature selection for cable or closure/terminator, improving the arrangement of the user controls with regard to the process flow and correcting the display in the dark colour scheme.
  • In the “Create and assign ducts (w/o geometry)” workflow, all child cables are now displayed again in the tree view.
  • The “Create house lead-in” workflow can now properly process predefined lead-in segments that consist of multiple sections.
  • The performance of the “Split ducts” workflow has been improved.
  • The user interface of the Name scheme editor and the Attribute scheme editor has been optimized by, among other things, aligning the preview in both editors, directly displaying the colors in the Name scheme editor and automatically updating values/colors there as soon as something changes in the Attribute scheme.

Connection editor

  • The functionality of the Connection Editor in interaction with work orders has been revised. Elements associated with splices or patches of the active work order can be edited. Elements related to other work orders are now taken into account and displayed, but appear grayed out and cannot be modified.

Dialogs

  • A bug in the splice form under Oracle was fixed that caused the fiber name not to be displayed.
  • In the “Segment” form, the named projection “List of all direct child ducts of filtered segments” is available again.
  • The missing german translation for two buttons in the “Line” form has been added.
  • A duct with multiline geometry can now be opened without errors in the form.
  • In the “Status” form, the buttons for jumping to the “Line”, “Point” and “Cluster” forms are displayed correctly again.
  • If a different Cable Type is stored in the FO Cable Section or TP Cable Section, a query now appears asking whether the numbering or color scheme of the new Cable Type should be applied. In addition, the colors of microducts can no longer be changed if a color scheme has already been defined in the associated parent duct - neither in the form of the microduct in question, nor with the “Edit inner ducts attributes” function in the parent duct.
  • The error message in the FO/TP closure/terminator form has been revised. When attempting to remove the assignment of an incoming or outgoing cable while connections still exist, a clearer error message is now displayed.
  • In the “FO Closure”, “FO Terminator”, “TP Closure” and “TP Terminator” forms, double-clicking on the selection field behind “Switching point” now opens the “Switching Point” form directly.
  • Fixed a bug where cable type would not be deleted if a fiber type is assigned to it. Additionally, a fiber type can no longer be deleted if a cable type is assigned to it. This fix also applies to FM cables and wires.
  • When removing a cable loop, the user length of the cable was displayed with too many decimal places. This display issue has been corrected.
  • A bug was fixed where opening cable cross-sections did not redirect to the corresponding cable forms.

Reports

  • When creating the report from the Closure form, the installation type value is now also displayed.
  • The closure allocation plan has been updated as per the requirements.
  • The cable jointing diagram can now be generated in SVG format.
  • The content of the duct connection report was inconsistent depending on whether it was generated via AutoCAD or the corresponding REST endpoint. This issue has been resolved.
  • The “NET Current Breakdowns” report now also works correctly under Map3D 2025
  • The CO-Overview has been updated and now includes the following enhancements:
The new version of the CO-Overview can now handle complex paths with multiple fo closures between the switching point and the building, displaying them correctly.
The new overview can be exported to Excel, CSV, JSON and HTML.
The new version is accessible, as before, via the switching point dialog and the fo terminator dialog.
The previous version of the CO-Overview will remain available for now and can be used alongside the new version.

GIS-Nebenbestimmungen

  • Within the GIS side-conditions (GIS-NB) integration, a new report is now available. The report reproduces the table “Documentation House Connection Micro-duct” defined in the Aconium material concept, including every column (street, duct no., colour-stripe combination, micro-duct type, connection point, date, etc.). The output can be exported in a funding-compliant format, allowing planning and documentation teams to submit the proof to the project sponsor without additional formatting. The mandatory requirement for this table is stated on page 8 of the material concept.
  • The loading of funding projects has been improved.
  • Only COs / POPs are displayed in ID_NETZE in the consumer layer.

Import from NET Build

  • The Redlining Building Unit now has the “Source reference” attribute. This is included during import from NET Build and during data transfer to NET Engineering.

Export to NET Build

  • When exporting to NET Build, a region is now prevented from being assigned to itself.

Redlining

  • The function for cascading deletion of linked redlining scan elements is now also available for Oracle databases.

One-click-maintenance

  • The 1-click maintenance “NET Engineering: Check polygon geometries” no longer incorrectly removes holes from polygons.

Data check

  • The data checks “Line connections”, “FO Connectors without assigned terminators”, “FO Splices without assigned terminators/closures”, “FO Trays without assigned terminators/closures”, “TP Pins without assigned terminators/closures” and “TP Splices without assigned terminators/closures” now work correctly again under Oracle.
  • The data checks “TP Cable ends” and “CX Cable ends” now also work under PostgreSQL versions lower than 16.
  • Data check - check for multiple cables in a microduct added

NET Operations

Network routing

  • The network path search now displays a permanently visible log with all analysis steps.

NET Cloud Administrator

Geoserver configuration

  • A warning is now issued during the geoserver publication if a style is published without an identifier.
  • When publishing, scales will be merged if they are continuous and contain identical styles, even across different zoom levels. Scales with differing styles or those that are not continuous remain separate.
  • Stroke-widths of 0 are now automatically converted to the value 1 for point, line, block, and polygon symbolizers during publishing to geoserver
  • Styles containing WKT-based vector graphics are no longer published, and users receive a clear warning in the logs.
  • When exporting layers to Geoserver, filters that use ‘INTERSECTS’ are not exported. All filters, whether applied or skipped, are listed as warnings in the log.
