Action areas are used for the surface allocation of infrastructure to a specific area. Various evaluations, such as the display of statistics or the export of a bill of material, can be carried out for a action area. In addition, target and actual dates for planning and construction can be documented.
The form for the action area is opened by right-clicking on Industry Model Explorer > Administration > Action area.

Menu items
Edit
Using the ‘Edit’ menu, you can view the statistics, export the materials list and refresh the status.
Clicking ‘Show statistics’ opens a window containing details about the action area:
Export Bill of materials
A materials list can be generated following a design phase or to determine the quantities required for a specific area.
The NET options allow you to specify how edges that intersect action area boundaries should be calculated.
The values are transferred to the materials list unrounded and displayed rounded to two decimal places. This may result in minor discrepancies in the totals.
Update status
Once a status has been assigned to the action area in (3), it can be assigned to all objects within the action area.
A prompt will first appear asking whether the new status should also be applied to objects that already have a different status assigned to them.
A prompt will then appear asking whether the status should also be updated for subordinate objects.
Overviews/Reports
You can open the forms for the generated labels via the ‘Overviews/Reports’ menu.
