Release Notes NET 15.0.1 (English)

Summary

In version NET 15.0.1, major enhancements were made across import workflows, validation, and engineering tools. Key highlights:

  • TANNIS import is now fully integrated into the general import workflow.
  • New TNIM key-uniqueness check ensures consistent data (warnings on export, blocking errors on import).
  • Validation can now be cancelled at any time, including a confirmation dialog.
  • Improved stability in form logic, import filtering, workflows, and Redlining validation.
  • Numerous fixes across NET Engineering, especially for connections, deletion processes, and geometry-related behavior.

Note on the AutoCAD Map 3D versions

Please note the minimum required versions of Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D for the operation of NET 14.3. The version for Autodesk Map 3D 2024 has been updated since NET 14.2. The patched version is required for NET to work correctly.

Autodesk has released an update that unfortunately causes compatibility issues with NET and PGP.

This affects Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D 2024. The latest supported versions are Map 3D 2024.0.1 and AutoCAD 2024.1.8.

 

Please check your installed AutoCAD Map 3D version and pay attention to these two version details when doing so:

NET Design

Comsof Fiber Integration

  • A bug was fixed where trenches could not be created based on the parcels for the function ‘buried’, depending on the settings in the advanced optimisation settings for comsof.

NET Engineering

General

  • A bug was fixed that could cause error messages to appear multiple times in the fo closure and fo terminator forms.
  • If there are still connected duct insertions or fittings when deleting manholes/cabinets/poles, or if there are still elements assigned to a service when deleting closures/terminators, a query or error message will appear stating that deletion is not possible. This query or error can now be hidden for the rest of the session so that it is not displayed multiple times when deleting several data records.

Import

  • Attributfilters are working as expected with Null values for all the available Source type
  • The TANNIS import can now be accessed via the general import. The previous access via the context menu has been removed.
  • Data records that violate the length restriction of the database are filtered and listed in the import protocol.

Workflows

  • In the “Split FO cable” and “Split telephony cable” workflows, it is now possible to split the cable at an existing closure or terminator that is already on the cable.
  • The placement of error icons in the drop-down menus of the various workflows has been corrected.
  • With the workflow “Create and assign ducts (w/o geometry)”, ducts can now be created without errors again if the parent feature of the duct does not have its own geometry.
  • In the “Create duct template” workflow, the control for displaying existing duct templates of a duct type has been removed from AutoCAD Map3D 2025 due to incorrect scaling. Instead, existing duct templates are now displayed as a tooltip in the duct type to be selected.

Connection editor

  • Cross sections are now displayed correctly across all levels after assigning a new duct or removing such an assignment.

Dialogs

  • The insertion grid form logic has been improved to ensure correct updates and consistent assignments.
  • Fixed an error when opening connection overview for a duct without an existing route.

TNIM

  • For TNIM v2.1, a check for unique TNIM keys (consisting of a TNIM ID and a TNIM source) has been implemented for each feature class. Duplicate keys are reported as warnings during export, and cause the import to abort with a clear log message.

Export to NET Build

  • When exporting to NET Build, the address of the lead-in segment is now also set.
  • Improvement of involed routes for pipe fittings are donecorrectly when Export to NET Build is performed

Redlining

  • A new validation has been added to the Redlining data transfer to check whether lead-in ducts are missing the name of the distribution point.

Validation

  • Project validation now includes a cancel option. Once a check is started, users can stop the process at any time using a new “Abort” button. This gives users more control over long-running validations and allows them to stop them early if needed. A short confirmation is requested when cancelling.
