Summary
Important Notice:
Version NET 15.1 was not released to customers due to an identified issue. All changes and new features originally planned for NET 15.1 are therefore fully included in the current release.
Please also review the release notes for NET 15.1.
NET 15.1.1 focuses on stability and efficiency in the daily workflows of network planning and documentation.
The reliability of data import has been significantly increased. The progress indicator now provides precise information about the status of ongoing processes, and the detection of coordinate systems works flawlessly. At the same time, optimizations in the house connection assistant and during import noticeably speed up working with large data volumes.
Numerous corrections in the areas of NET Design and NET Engineering ensure more stable workflows. These include the automatic creation of overhead routes with atesio as well as the correct handling of temporary markings, which no longer permanently burden projects.
This update ensures that your planning data remains consistent and workflows run smoothly.

The specified versions for Autodesk AutoCAD and Map 3D are the ones for which NET was developed. Generally, newer versions can also be used. However, there have been occasional updates in the past that caused crashes in NET.
Please check your installed AutoCAD Map 3D version and pay attention to these two version details when doing so:
Release NET 15.1.1 in Detail
General
Import
- The performance when configuring the Excel and CSV import in PostgreSQL projects has been improved.
- The general import function now better recognizes when a coordinate transformation is actually necessary. By accepting minimal rounding differences and synonymous projection names in coordinate system definitions, the import process can more reliably determine whether a transformation is required. This prevents unnecessary transformations and ensures that shape files with nearly identical coordinate system parameters are imported correctly.
- A bug was fixed in the general import that prevented cancelling the process when leaving the import protocol.
- A bug was fixed in the general import that caused an error report when the dry run or import was cancelled.
- A bug was fixed that caused the progress bar not to update correctly when reading data during general import operations. The progress indicator now reliably shows the current status when running test runs or imports, making it easier to track the process and identify any issues during data import and to verify whether the process is running smoothly or has stalled.
- The progress display when opening the data preview has been refined.
- In the General Import, the coordinate system for shape files is now correctly detected. The display indicating whether a coordinate system conversion is necessary is now reliable and no longer misleading. This ensures that a conversion is only suggested when different coordinate systems are actually present. Validation continues to work for other supported file formats as well.
- When importing data with geometry columns in EWKT format, incorrect entries now generate log messages instead of displaying an error dialog. This makes it easier to identify and correct data issues during the import process without interrupting the workflow.
NET Design
Workflows
- In the workflow “Create duct/cable from existing geometry”, a crash caused by invalid stop conditions was fixed. Invalid inputs are now detected, optionally corrected, and the workflow continues safely.
atesio Integration
- With this update, NET Design with atesio now enables automatic generation of aerial fiber routes along existing poles and to connection points. The relevant settings for aerial routes are available in the atesio options. This significantly simplifies and speeds up the planning and documentation of aerial routes.
Dialogs
- A bug was fixed that caused the “Cluster” and “Output Cluster” form to display incorrectly with high scaling settings in AutoCAD Map 3D.
Low level design
- An issue was fixed that prevented the low level design from being created.
NET Engineering
General
- The indentation character for the segment content label can be set empty and won't default back to “+” after re-opening the project.
- Deletion of cable geometries from the segment form has triggered repetitive warning dialogs. This problem has been fixed.
- A bug was fixed that caused structure updates to fail in projects using an Oracle database. Structure updates in Oracle projects now work as expected.
- An error was fixed that crashed Map3D when trying to select a newly created authorization polygon as the working polygon.
Workflows
- An optimization in the home connection assistant ensures that, when selecting a very large cluster, only the necessary objects are loaded. This makes the workflow significantly faster in such cases.
- In the workflows “Create FO cable loop” and “Create TP cable loop”, status management has been revised so that the Run button is now always enabled or disabled, depending on the input values.
- If there is an error in the “Split FO cable” or “Split TP cable” workflows due to an incorrect cable topology, a more meaningful error message is now displayed. In addition, the segment and duct are no longer incorrectly split at this point. If there is an error, the splitting process is canceled for all features at this point.
- Temporary markings used in the map, for example when creating cable reserves or documenting faults, are no longer permanently saved in the project. This means that distracting remnants from previous workflows are now a thing of the past – when reopening a project, only the relevant network information remains visible.
Dialogs
- With the “Move duct” function, it is now possible to move a microduct that is not located in the associated microduct bundle but as a single duct in another duct or segment.
- A bug was fixed in the overview of the “Building” form that caused no building units to be displayed when all floor attributes were empty.
Reports
- A bug was fixed that caused the CO overview to display incorrectly with high scaling settings in AutoCAD Map 3D.
GIS-Nebenbestimmungen
- Error in the “Documentation House Lead-In Micro Duct” report fixed.
TNIM
- Fixed an issue in TNIM Import v2.1 where buildings were re-imported instead of updated despite matching TNIM keys.
Export to NET Build
- During export to NET Build, a check is now performed to ensure that all ducts are uniquely colored. Ducts without color or with colors used multiple times are detected to ensure error-free processing in NET Build.
- When exporting to Net Build without a coordinate system, a corresponding error message is displayed.
One-click-maintenance
- The one-click maintenance “RLS - apply data model extension” has been improved to ensure that changes to the data model are fully incorporated.
- New 1-Click Maintenance routines for FO and TP module search for faulty work order items that refer to non-existent splices or patches. When the maintenance is executed, these work order items are deleted.
