Release Notes NET 15.1.2 (English)

Summary

With the NET 15.1.2 release, we focus on stability and a more efficient design of your daily planning routines. A special highlight is the expanded CO overview, which now also directly displays ONT names and IDs for buildings. The KML export has also been technically optimized and now reliably supports WGS84 transformations as well as multiple layers. Additionally, for more clarity in documentation, there is a new option in connection plans to flexibly group elements by splices or terminations.

Furthermore, we have logically refined the workflow for house connections and made numerous background optimizations – from one-click maintenance to TNIM import – so you can rely on smooth and error-free network planning.

(Only required for a manual installation on the network license server)

The specified versions for Autodesk AutoCAD and Map 3D are the ones for which NET was developed. Generally, newer versions can also be used. However, there have been occasional updates in the past that caused crashes in NET.

Please check your installed AutoCAD Map 3D version and pay attention to these two version details when doing so:

Release NET 15.1.2 in Detail

General

Documentation Pack

  • An issue has been fixed where existing DocPack templates could not be opened in the DocPack output unless they had previously been opened and saved in the DocPack configuration.
  • Fixed an error when outputting plot sequences with secondary viewport and highlight options activated.

NET Design

General

  • In the general KML export, geometries are now correctly transformed to WGS84. In case the option to add to an existing KML/KMZ file is enabled, exporting multiple layers to the same KML/KMZ file is possible.

Comsof Fiber Integration

  • Fixed an issue where the preprocessing of drop trenches failed in Comsof version 25.1 and below, when locked trenches were present.

NET Engineering

General

  • A bug was fixed where the error overview window remained open after closing a project.
  • Improved the pasting behavior of the attribute scheme editor such that existing entries are no longer overwritten when pasting from the clipboard.

Import

  • A bug was fixed that caused the previous attribute assignment selection not to be reset when loading a template.
  • A bug was fixed that caused the matching attributes info message to be displayed during import.
  • A bug was fixed that caused matching attributes to be included during import.

Workflows

  • In the “Creating house lead-in” workflow, meaningful error messages are now shown when a building is already connected.
  • When using the “Creating house lead-in” workflow, the label for the house lead-in route is now updated.
  • When using “Creating house lead-in”, CAD lengths and user lengths are now set correctly.
  • In the “Creating house lead-in” workflow, buildings outside the cluster can now be connected.
  • In the “Creating house lead-in” workflow, a house lead-in can now also be created for a first-level microduct without a superior multi-duct bundle.
  • In the “Creating house lead-in” workflow, error messages are now more consistent and clearer.

Planning and House Connection Assistant

  • When closing a project with the “Planning options” window open, the project now closes correctly.

Dialogs

  • In the Duct insertion form, an error no longer occurs when the button for selecting the linked duct has been removed from the form.
  • A duplicate, unnecessary separator has been removed from the Edit menu of the “FO Fiber” form.

Reports

  • The new CO overview displays ONT name and ONT ID for each building.
  • In the duct end plan, microduct name positions were adjusted to improve their readability.
  • When generating the “NET Duct Connections” report, an error could occur if start or end points of duct connections were missing. This issue has been resolved, so the report can now be created without errors even in these cases.
  • A bug was fixed where the CO Overview report failed to open when the number of columns was very high.

TNIM

  • In the TNIM export, duplicate TNIM keys are now reported in a single line in the log window, including all affected objects.
  • A bug in the TNIM import was fixed where validation with incomplete master data caused the process to abort.

Documentation Pack

  • Connection diagrams can now be generated grouped by closure or terminator.

One-click-maintenance

  • The 1-Click Maintenance function “NET Engineering: Check polygon geometries” now removes invalid apexes in polygons and their inner rings again, thereby reliably correcting their invalid geometries.
