Summary
NET 15.2.1 introduces two key enhancements: The Comsof optimizer in NET Design (version 23.2 and later) now supports creating transitions within existing ducts — not just at their start or end. Additionally, further tree view elements can now be individually named in NET Options, including fiber splitters, couplings, cassettes, fibers, and services, providing greater flexibility for project documentation in fiber optic networks.
Beyond these highlights, this release delivers numerous workflow improvements: Home connection creation in the planning assistant has been significantly accelerated, the "Move duct" function now operates with simplified validation rules, and the GIS-NB export handles older specification versions more compliantly. These are complemented by stability improvements in the export to NET Build, Redlining data transfer, and various forms.
Note: Structure update may be blocked when Redlining scan data is present
NET 15.2 introduced a migration function that transfers scan data from the Redlining table TC_RL_SCAN to the new NET Scan data model. If the NET Scan data model is not present in the project, the structure update is aborted as a safety measure to prevent data loss. As a result, the structure update cannot proceed beyond this point, and users will see a message on each application start indicating that the data model is outdated.
Who is not affected: Projects where the TC_RL_SCAN table contains no data are not affected by this issue. The structure update completes without any restrictions in this case.
Recommendation for affected users: Please wait for now — a fix is planned for NET 15.2.2. If waiting is not an option, please contact support. Manual migration of individual projects is possible but involves significant effort.

Release NET 15.1.2 in Detail
General
Import
The performance when opening the general import in PG projects has been improved.
atesio Integration
Fixed an issue in NET Design for atesio where incomplete preferred path data could prevent optimization calculations from completing successfully. NET Design now validates the route accurately before sending it to atesio.
GIS-Nebenbestimmungen
Warnings regarding the “Owner” attribute in the GIS-Nb export will no longer be displayed starting with version 4.1, as the owner field is no longer required.
Redlining
In the general import from NET Scan to Redlining, more understandable log messages are now displayed for invalid or missing device types.
NET Design
Comsof Fiber Integration
In NET Design, Comsof optimizer version 23.2 and later now includes a new option that allows transitions to be created not only at the start or end of an existing duct, but also within the duct.
NET Engineering
General
The database selection for adding incoming and outgoing cables in the “TP Closure” and “TP Terminator” forms is now identical to the database selection in the “FO Closure” and “FO Terminator” forms.
The validation rules for the “Move duct” function have been relaxed and aligned with those of the segment and duct assignment editor and the other assignment functions.
The node name configuration in tree views has been improved. Users now receive clear feedback when no suggestions are available. Text highlight colors are configurable, relations can be resolved via geometry features, and it is now possible to display texts only if certain placeholders have been successfully replaced. This provides more clarity and flexibility for naming.
It is now possible to individually name additional elements in the tree views within the NET options. This includes fiber splitters, splitter paths, fiber couplings, fiber cassettes, fibers, and services. This allows the naming of these components to be adapted to specific project requirements, improving clarity and documentation in fiber optic networks.
ImBatch functions such as generating the duct end overview via the NET REST endpoint no longer fail.
In the expansion area, the filter buttons for buildings, nodes, and edges now work correctly.
Multiline creation: In some schemas, a critical error occurred that caused the multi-line creation process to abort when segments had no geometry. This issue has been fixed.
Import
In the general import, related segments with geometry can now also be created correctly for Redlining ducts.
Workflows
The “Join ducts” workflow now includes the new feature selection — similar to most other workflows. As a result, only one duct can be selected at a time.
Planning and House Connection Assistant
Home connection creation in the planning assistant has been stabilized: in certain projects/clusters, the process could run for a very long time when debug logging was disabled (up to several minutes) and repeatedly reload data. This has been fixed so that creation reliably finishes again within the expected time.
The “Create house lead-in” workflow now also supports ducts with their own geometry.
Connection editor
An issue in the Connection editor was fixed where columns of type “Enumeration” triggered an error dialog.
Dialogs
A bug has been fixed where the 1-click maintenance removed some controls in the Fault form when both LWL and FM were enabled.
GIS-Nebenbestimmungen
An adjustment has been made for the end consumer type when exporting data according to the GIS-NB 4.1 specification (or older). Since the value “sonstige soz. Schwerpunkte” (other socio-economic focal points) is not defined in these older versions, a warning is now automatically issued if this type is assigned to a building. To ensure export compliance, the affected end consumer type is instead mapped as “Öffentliche Einrichtungen” (public facilities) in the export.
TNIM
The GIS-NB feature classes can now be exported and imported via TNIM v2 and v2.1.
Export to NET Build
During export to NET Build, errors in the history no longer occur even if no optionale fields are set.
During export to NET Build, the status of duct nodes no longer plays a role. Empty duct nodes are not exported
Redlining
During Redlining data transfer, surface and construction type are now transferred separately as trench type and laying type to NET Engineering. New values are automatically added during this process.
One-click-maintenance
The “NET Engineering: Invalid model references” 1-Click Maintenance now displays the correct column and Model FID for any issues found.
