In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining various types of segments themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the Segment form or in Industry-Model Explorer > Survey plan > Segment > Segment type.

| Description | The description of the segment type can be entered here. (9) |
| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (10) |
| Assigned segments | The number of segment to which this type is assigned is displayed. Click on  to list all segments that use the current segment type. The button  displays all segments to which a segment type has been assigned in the filter. (11) |
