Assign segments and ducts

Using the “Assign segments and ducts” workflow, cables and ducts can be assigned to or deassigned from several segments via a tracing, a map selection or via existing ducts/cables.

Procedure

Start the workflow in Workflow Explorer > Survey plan workflows > Assign segments and ducts by double-clicking it, from the context menu or by clicking the mceclip2.png button in the lower right area of the workflow explorer:

mceclip0.png

or in the NET Planning tab:

mceclip0.png

or in the context menus for the duct/cable in the segment/duct form.
You will be prompted to choose a duct or segment:

If a segment has been selected, the duct to be assigned must then be selected:

The following dialog opens:

On the left side, assignments can be canceled. On the right side, assignments can be added.

The following options are available for canceling the assignment:
In the map selection, segments and ducts can be selected in the graphic.

and via assigned segments and ducts

The following options are available for adding the assignment:

Determine segments and ducts with tracing

After selecting the start element, all reachable objects are determined and highlighted in the graphic.

mceclip14.png

Segments and ducts may be determined as start and end. The distance between them is determined via a tracing and highlighted in the graphic.

The assignment can also take place via an existing duct/cable and its assignments.

mceclip16.png

Select a segment with the desired reference object > object is also assigned.

mceclip17.png

Select a duct with the desired reference object > object is also assigned.

The mceclip16.png and mceclip17.png buttons highlights the selected objects in the graphic and remove them from the selection, respectively.
The mceclip18.png and mceclip19.png buttons can be used to highlight the assignments in the graphic and remove the highlight again, respectively.
The mceclip20.png button updates the view.
The mceclip1.png button applies the changed assignments and adjusts the geometry of the objects. The mceclip2.png button applies the changed assignments only in the database for objects without their own geometry.
The mceclip18.png button ends the workflow.

First, the option for the assignment has to be selected. Then, the corresponding elements can be selected with the “Run” button.

Tracing

First the start element and then the target element must be selected in the graphic.

mceclip19.png

The path found is displayed via a highlight.

mceclip25.png

The segments found are displayed in the dialog.

mceclip3.png

The assignment is applied with “Apply”.

Existing duct/cable

If you now want to apply the assignment for another duct for the same segments, select the assigned ducts (indirect)/assigned segments (indirect) option and select the object in the graphic. A tree view appears:

mceclip6.png mceclip4.png

in which the desired object can be selected.
The segments are listed and the assignment is applied with Apply.

Map selection

If the map-selection option has been specified, in addition to the start element, all segment sections in the graphic to which the duct/cable is to be assigned must be selected.

mceclip0.png

The segments found are displayed in the dialog.
The assignment is applied with “Apply”.

Note
If the segments do not form a clear geometry (end points do not lie correctly on top of each other), this message appears: .
With the mceclip31.png button, you can jump to the appropriate point of the incorrect geometry. Once you have corrected the geometry, you can continue the workflow with the Update button mceclip32.png.

Example: "Rearranging" a duct within a segment

Two protective ducts and a multi-duct bundle are directly assigned to a segment. The multi-duct bundle should no longer be assigned directly to this segment, but should be located in one of the protective ducts.

The segment and duct assignment editor can be started from the multi-duct bundle.

The following dialogue opens:

To remove the assignment of the multi-duct bundle directly from the segment, select the "Map selection (direct)" option on the left-hand side.

To assign the multi-duct bundle to the protective duct, the "Map selection (indirect)" option must be selected on the right-hand side.

Click on the button Trassen- und Rohrzuordnungseditor_Beispiel_Button Ausführen_engl.png to start the selection in the graphic.

To select the protective duct, the segment must be selected in the graphic. The ducts contained there are displayed in a treeview and can be selected.

After selecting the objects in the graphic, the dialogue is filled

The green tick indicates that the change can be carried out without errors.

As a result, the multi-duct bundle is in the protective duct and no longer directly in the segment.
