Adjusting style definitions to the scale

You have the option of designing the display of the data as a function of the scale.

Example of use for the “Trench” layer

Right-click on the layer (in this case “Trench”) and select “Edit style” from the context menu.

This will open the style editor for the layer and you can add a scale range.

Edit the scales. An example of this follows:

  • The first scale range is to be 0–2000, maintaining all thematic rules
  • The second scale range is to be from 2001 to “infinity”. Delete the thematic rules except for the default stylization

  • Change the color fill of the thematic rule “(default)” to brown for the second scale range

  • Zoom in on your graphic and test your settings

Result

For scale 0–2000

For scale 2001 to infinity
