Splitter type

In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining splitter types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the FO splitter form or in Industry-Model Explorer > FO network > FO splitter > FO splitter type.




Attribute Description
Name Enter the name of the splitter type here. (1)
Inputs The number of splitter inputs can be entered. (2)
Outputs The number of splitter outputs can be entered. (3)
Splits service channels You can specify whether the splitter type will split subordinate services. (4)
Configuration The configuration of the splitter type to the service type as well as the assignment of the splitter outputs to service channels can be created. (5)
Info Information about the splitter type can be entered. (6)
Wavelength-related data Opens a form with wavelength-related data for the splitter type. See Splitter data for more information. (7)
Wavelength/attenuation The wavelength and attenuation recorded for the splitter data are displayed here. (8)
Active Only active types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for FO splitters. (9)
Manufacturer’s details
Manufacturer Selection of the manufacturer from a drop-down list. (10)
Designation A designation can be specified. (11)
Order number Specification of the order number. (12)
Material price Specification of the price and currency for the material. (13)
Labor price Specification of the price for the labor. (14)
Description The description of the type can be entered here. (15)
Documents Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (16)
Assigned splitters The number of splitters to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on mceclip2.pnglists all splitters that use the current type. The mceclip3.pngbutton displays all splitters to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (17)


Splits service channels (4)

YES or NO can be selected in this field. If the field is left blank, it acts as a “NO”.

Meaning of NO or empty:

The service arriving at the splitter input is transmitted to all outputs and the connections present there.


Meaning of YES:

The services assigned to the channels are transferred to the splitter outputs and the objects connected to them to which the channels have been assigned in the configuration.

In the splitter type, click Yes and open the configuration there


A splitter output must be assigned to each channel created in the service type. Each splitter output requires one channel.
