In this section, Map 3D features are to be styled. You have the option of controlling the display of data in the graphic according to its attributes.
After adding a new data layer, first change the names of the layers to meaningful designations. In this example, “TC_M_SP_SEGMENT”.
To do this, click on the “TC_M_SP_SEGMENT” layer in the display management. By clicking again, you enter the write mode and can change the layer name. Try changing the layer name for yourself.

Right-click on the layer (in this case “Trench”) and select “Edit style” from the context menu.
This will open the style editor with the data of the selected layer.
In the style editor, scale ranges for the display of the data can be defined.
The display of the data is controlled depending on the “thematic rules”.
When the style editor of the respective layer is opened for the first time, default values are already set.
Adding and editing thematic rules
In our example, three further thematic rules are to be added to the “trench” layer
To do this, click on in the lower pane.
An additional thematic rule appears in the style editor.
Click on the corresponding button to create an expression for the thematic rule.
This opens a dialog for creating an expression.
Under “Property” you will find corresponding entries. These entries correspond to the attributes of the respective table or view, in this exemplary application, it is the attributes of the view “TC_M_SP_SEGMENT”.
The following thematic rule is to be entered for the layer:
STATUS_NAME = “Existing”
Select the “STATUS_NAME” attribute from the properties.
Select the operator “=” under “Operator” or in the function bar.
After setting the operator, the entry “[value]” is automatically appended. Place the cursor over the attached entry.
Click on “Get values from a list”. In the window, an edit box opens for retrieving the respective values of the property.
The edit box can also be accessed via . Select the value “Existing” from the list by double-clicking. This value is added to the expression.
Click on the button to check your entry. If your expression is valid, confirm by clicking “OK”.

Duplicating and deleting thematic rules
Clicking on creates a further rule with the same inputs.

can be used to remove individual or all rules from the list.
By way of example, two further rules are added.

Edit the style of the thematic rule
To edit the style of the respective rule, click on the corresponding button in the Style field.
This will open the dialog for editing styles.
For example, select the “Dashed” icon and the color blue.
Complete your stylization by clicking on in the style-editor form.
In our example, the “Planning” rule is to have the same stylization as the “Existing” rule, but with the color green. “Under construction” is also to have the same stylization but with the color red.

Defining text for a layer
In order to define the text (in this case: “Street name”) for a layer (in this case: “Street”), open the style editor and click the corresponding button in the “Object label” field.
The “Style label” dialog opens.
Click on .
For “Select symbol”, select the entry
“MTEXT” and for “Text content” the property “Name”.
Then click on “Apply” to close the dialog with the settings.
