Creating plot sequences

Plots can be output individually or as a plot sequence.

Individual plot

When creating an individual plot, the following dialog opens:

DocPack_Plots_neu_Plot_Dialog_leer_neu_engl.png

Subtemplate

A “name” must be assigned for the subtemplate. An additional “description” can be stored.

Data

Under “Data”, a feature class or view must be selected, which provides the geometry objects. Filters can restrict the objects of the corresponding feature class.

Display

In the “Display” area, a previously created template file that contains the desired layouts must be selected. If multiple layouts exist in the template file, a layout must be checked. The attributes used in the layout can be replaced by placeholders.

Click on Button_3 Punkte.png to open the dialog for the attribute substitutions. The attributes used in the layout must be entered in curly brackets. Entering the first bracket “{” will show all attributes available for selection in the layout. These can then be selected directly by double-clicking.

Note

Attributes must be defined as a block as described here if they are to be automatically substituted.

Possible substitutions are displayed by hovering over Button_Hilfe_Attribute.png.

Also during the substitution, the possible values are displayed by entering the first bracket “{":

The current display model, another stored display model or a display-model map can be accessed for the display.

The distance of the drawing from the edge of the document [in m or percent] can be specified.

The plots can be scaled based on their own geometry or on the largest plot.

If a specific object class has been selected as the data source, the surrounding area can optionally be hidden:

Konfiguration_starten_Teilvorlage_Plots_sekundäres Ansichtsfenster_Umgebung_engl.png

You must select the layer on which the object used to define the environment is located.

A secondary viewport can be displayed:

There, you can either display an overview, highlight the main view, or display the network.

To highlight the main view, you must select the relevant layer in the viewport:

Output

You can select the appropriate file format for the plots to be generated:

A directory name can be specified and a file name must be specified for the plots to be output. The file name can be a specified text, a text in conjunction with a placeholder or created only via placeholders. Possible placeholders can be displayed by clicking Button_Hilfe_Attribute.png next to the “File name” field. These vary depending on the selected feature class. The following are available by default:

Once all settings have been made, the configuration has to be saved once only by clicking on Button_speichern als.png.

Additional subtemplates can be added. The configuration must then be saved again by clicking on Button_speichern.png.

Plot sequence

When creating a plot sequence, the following dialog opens:

Subtemplate

A “name” must be assigned for the subtemplate. An additional “description” can be stored.

Data

Under “Data”, the data source is already defined with the “Plot sequence”. With the default setting “1 = 1”, all plot sequences of the project are plotted. However, it is also possible to filter by the FID of a specific plot sequence. This FID can be found in the upper area of the “Plot sequence” form:

If records have already been filtered in the plot sequence form, they are also transferred to the filter using Button_filtern.png.

Possible substitutions are displayed by hovering over Button_Hilfe_Attribute.png.

These vary depending on the selected feature class and the corresponding values from the associated line/point.

The placeholders for the file name are adapted to the plot sequence:

For the display, you can access the current display model, another saved display model, or a display model map.

The environment can be hidden if desired:
