Detecting a breakdown—FO

NET enables the management of breakdowns from the time of the first report to the elimination of the fault in a form. In this case, not only the date, location and suspected faulty network element are managed, but also the employee who received the breakdown and the technician who executed the breakdown repair order, if an order became necessary. A breakdown can be set with different work steps starting from a connector for an FO network or a pin for a TP network

Procedure

Start the workflow in Workflow Explorer > FO workflows > Detect breakdown (from connector) by double-clicking it, from the context menu or by clicking the mceclip3.png button in the lower right area of the workflow explorer:

The affected terminator must be selected in the graphic.

All connectors managed in the terminator and the services connected to them are listed.

The connector from which the breakdown was measured must be selected in the list.

If you confirm the selection with OK, the "Set marker/breakdown" dialog opens.

1. In this case, the user is shown the maximum network path length (including all connected objects) from the connector.

2. The distance of the breakdown from the connector determined from the measurement is entered here.

3. The input is confirmed by clicking mceclip4.png

The detailed form for the breakdown opens.

If you start the workflow in the form for the connector via the "Edit" menu:
