In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining terminator types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the FO terminator form or in Industry-Model Explorer > FO network > FO terminator > FO-terminator type.

| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (10) |
| Assigned terminators | The number of FO terminators to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on  lists all FO terminators that use the current type. The  button displays all FO terminators to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (11) |
