In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining tray types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Tray-type field in the FO tray form or in Industry-Model Explorer > FO network > FO tray > FO-tray type.

| Description | The description of the type can be entered here. (10) |
| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (11) |
| Assigned trays | The number of trays to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on  lists all trays that use the current type. The  button displays all trays to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (12) |
