In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining connector types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Connector-type field in the FO Connector form or in Industry-Model Explorer > FO network > FO Connector > FO Connector Type.

| Angled polish | Selection of whether or not the connector has an angled polish: yes or no. (2) |
| Info | Information about the connector type can be entered. (3) |
| Wavelength related data | Opens a form with wavelength related data for the connector type. See Connector data for more information. (4) |
| Wavelength/Attenuation | The wavelength and attenuation recorded for the connector data are displayed here. (5) |
| Active | Only active types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for FO connectors. (6) |

| Designation | A designation can be specified. (8) |
| Order number | Specification of the order number. (9) |
| Material cost | Specification of the cost and currency for the material. (10) |

| Description | The description of the type can be entered here. (12) |
| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (13) |
| Assigned connectors | The number of connectors to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on lists all connectors that use the current type. The button shows all connectors to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (14) |
