In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining loop types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Loop type field in the FO cable loop form.

| Short value | This is where you enter the short value. (2) |
| Value | Enter the name of the loop type here. (3) |
| Created on | The date when the record was created can be specified. (4) |
| Author | The person who created the record can be entered. (5) |
| Comment | A comment on the loop type can be entered here. (6) |
| Active | Only active loop types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for FO cable loops. (7) |
| Priority | A priority for the loop type can be assigned. (8) |
| Cable loops | Clicking on  lists all cable loops that use the current cable-loop type. The  button shows all cable loops to which a loop type has been assigned in the filter. (9) |
