In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining pin types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Pin Type field in the TP Pin form or in Industry-Model Explorer > TP Network > TP Pin > TP Pin Type.

| Frequency-based data | Opens a form with frequency-based data for the pin type. See Pin data for more information. (4) |
| Frequency/Attenuation | The frequency and attenuation recorded for the pin data are displayed here. (5) |
| Active | Only active types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for pins. (6) |

| Material cost | Specification of the cost and currency for the material. (10) |

| Description | The description of the type can be entered here. (12) |
| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (13) |
| Assigned pins | The number of pins to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on lists all pins that use the current type. The button shows all pins to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (14) |
