Wire type

In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining wire types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the Wire form or in Industry-Model Explorer > TP network > Wire > Wire type.

Attribute Description
Name Enter the name of the wire type here. (1)
Short name Users themselves can specify and enter short names for wire types.
Category The category to which the wire belongs can be selected from a drop-down list. Double-clicking on the list box opens the detailed form for managing the various categories of wires. (3)
Info Information about the wire type can be entered. (4)
Frequency-related data Opens a form with frequency-related data for the wire type. See Wire data for more information. (4)
Wavelength/attenuation The wavelength and attenuation recorded for the fiber data are displayed here. (5)
Active Only active types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for FO fibers. (6)
Manufacturer’s details
Manufacturers Selection of the manufacturer from a drop-down list. (7)
Designation A designation can be specified. (8)
Order number Specification of the order number. (9)
Material price Specification of the price and currency for the material. (10)
Labor price Specification of the price for the labor. (11)
Description The description of the type can be entered here. (12)
Documents Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (13)
Assigned fibers The number of fibers to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on mceclip2.pnglists all fibers that use the current type. The mceclip3.pngbutton displays all fibers to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (14)
