FTTx Naming Wizard

By running the FTTx Naming Wizard workflow, starting from the manhole/cabinet, the multi-duct bundles, including the microducts, fiber optic terminators and cables, that were created with the FTTx Design Wizard, are renamed in one step, depending on the selected naming scheme. This eliminates the need for multiple manual renaming of the respective elements.

Start the FTTx Naming Wizard in the Workflow Explorer under Planning workflows:

1. For the start point, select a manhole or cabinet in the graphic.

2. The ducts with all subordinate objects (ducts/cables) that start in the manhole or cabinet are listed.

A tree structure shows the following names:
a) Name of the manhole/cabinet
b) Name of the multi-duct bundle
c) Names of the microducts that are assigned to the multi-duct bundle
d) Drops: duct insertion with the name of the building
e) Name of the FO terminator
f) Name of the FO cable
g) microducts with cable
h) microducts without cable

The subordinate elements are loaded as soon as the tree view is expanded by clicking on the arrow. The sorting takes place according to the element name.

By clicking on the highlight button, to the right of the element, a highlighting takes place in the graphic.
A re-sorting of multi-duct bundles and microducts is carried out by drag & drop.

3. Names and designation schemes

a) The number of the multi-duct bundle with which to start must be specified.
b) The type of the cluster in which the multi-duct bundles are located can be selected from the drop-down list.
c) The designation scheme for the multi-duct bundles must be specified.
d) The designation scheme for the microducts must be specified.
e) The designation scheme for the cables must be specified.
f) The designation scheme for the FO terminators in the building must be specified.
g) You can specify whether the item number in the connection objects should be adapted according to the new sorting.
h) If this option is activated and a corresponding color scheme is assigned to the duct type, then the color scheme will be reapplied to the microducts in the changed bundle.
i)If the change of the microduct number can no longer be clearly corrected for other bundles in which the changed duct is located, a duct point with this type is set.

The following placeholders are possible:

{BUILDING} Name of the connected building
{CLUSTER} Name of the cluster in which the structure is located and of the selected type
{NODE} Name of the selected structure (manhole/cabinet)
{BUNDLE_NR} Sequential number of the multi-duct bundles
{BUNDLE_TYPE_NR} Sequential number of multi-duct bundles by type
{MICRO_NR} Sequential number of the microducts in the multi-duct bundle
{MICRO_AMOUNT} Number of microducts in the multi-duct bundle
{NR} Cross-multi-duct-bundle sequential number of the microduct
{CABLE_NR} Cross-multi-duct-bundle sequential number of cables

The workflow can be started. The renaming is done according to the respective designation scheme and the activated elements in the tree view.
The workflow can be closed.

Even if only one multi-duct bundle is to be renamed, the start point must be checked.
