Summary
NET 15.2.2 focuses on improving stability, data quality, and key workflows in NET Design and NET Engineering. Redlining data transfer has been made more reliable: duct and CAD lengths are now handled correctly, document links are preserved and transferred consistently, and existing documents are no longer removed unintentionally.
Import processes have also been improved. The TANNIS import now provides clearer logging when import files contain issues, domain imports no longer create duplicate entries, and dry runs no longer prevent domains from being created during a subsequent import.
Several NET Engineering workflows have been optimized, including “Split segment”, “Creating house lead-in”, and “Set duct insertion”. Cross sections, cable sections, label texts, structures, and coordinates are now transferred or displayed more reliably.
Validation has been enhanced as well: project validation now shows the number of errors per category, and a new cable validation checks whether cable endpoints are close enough to the corresponding closures or terminators. In NET Design, issues in NetworkReachability validation and building validation without assigned demand points have been fixed.
The release also includes improvements for the atesio integration, the FO connection editor, dialogs, the CO overview, export to NET Build, and the Documentation Pack.

Release NET 15.2.2 in Detail
General
Documentation Pack
- Notification messages in DocPack now include the name of the parent window (Configuration or Output) in their title. This allows for clear identification of messages when both program areas are open simultaneously.
- Running a DocPack file with a layout that has no viewport no longer triggers an error report. Instead, a descriptive message is displayed in the output log.
Validation
- In the project validation window, the total number of errors found within each category is now displayed next to the category name. This allows users to quickly see the distribution and extent of validation issues in each area. If there are no errors, no additional information is shown.
NET Design
General
- Previously, the validation of buildings in NET Design would crash if a building had no assigned demand point. This issue has been resolved: the validation now skips buildings without a demand point, so the validation process is no longer interrupted. This ensures a smoother workflow during quality checks of network planning data.
atesio Integration
- In NET Design (atesio Strategic v2023/v2024), there is a new option called "Reduce-Street-Crossings" in the configuration settings of the Strategic Optimizer. This allows the user to control whether the optimizer should specifically reduce the number of street crossings. The default value is "True". If the option is set to "False", the result may include more potential street crossings.
- In NET Design (atesio), the "Deployment" attribute for result structures and devices is now set correctly: As soon as at least one incoming or outgoing cable or duct connected to the structure/device has "Deployment = Yes" in the result, the structure/device is also set to "Deployment = Yes".
- A bug in the NetworkReachability validation within the NET Design (Atesio) module has been fixed. Previously, certain network errors were not correctly displayed because the validation did not detect existing issues. With this correction, errors in network reachability are now reliably reported, improving quality assurance and troubleshooting in network planning.
NET Engineering
General
- During TANNIS import, the import protocol now shows the actual number of feature changes.
- A bug was fixed where the error message shown when creating elements from the element library with a different display model did not clearly explain what needed to be changed in the plan template and where to make that change.
- When using the deletion function for clusters, connection data is now deleted without an error message.
- The export of the feature explorer does not lead to a crash, if the "TKI Extensions" module is missing
- Deletion of clusters is now stopped with a meaningful message if referenced objects are located outside the cluster
Import
- Duplicate entries are no longer created when importing into domain tables. The import into domain tables is now disabled by default.
- A bug was fixed that caused domains not to be created when the import was started after a dry run.
- During TANNIS import, a log window is now displayed if there are problems with the import files.
Workflows
- The "Set duct insertion" workflow has been optimized so that the structure (cabinet/manhole/pole) is now automatically included in the workflow when it is launched from the context menu of the tree view for a segment or duct using a corresponding structure form. In addition, the coordinates of the potential duct insertion are now displayed more clearly and are also automatically saved if a structure is selected that is connected to a duct without its own geometry.
- The duct connection editor now allows the removal of child fittings and child duct insertions.
- In the "Split segment" workflow, the correct cross section is now assigned to the new segment, provided that a cross section has been defined.
- In the "Split segment" workflow, cable sections that lie directly within the segment are now correctly displayed in the cross section of the newly created segment.
- A bug in the context menu of some workflows has been fixed. The form of the feature selected with the right mouse button is now always opened, regardless of which feature was previously selected.
Planning and House Connection Assistant
- In the "Creating house lead-in" workflow, label texts for newly created network objects are now filled correctly.
- In the "Creating house lead-in" workflow, clicking "Execute" multiple times during map selection no longer causes Map 3D to crash.
Connection editor
- In the FO connection editor, the "Fiber with connector via patch fiber" action in a switching point (with different devices) can now be executed without an error message again.
- In the Connection editor, the FID is now displayed in error messages instead of the fiber number.
Dialogs
- In the "Cabinet"/"Manhole"/"Pole" forms (under the "Terminator/Closures" tab) and in the "Switching Point" form (under the "Fiber Optic" or "Telephony" tab), terminators/closures and the associated cable sections are now displayed in a natural order.
Reports
- A new setting for the CO overview has been added to the NET Options in the "General" tab under FO. By selecting this option, the outer ducts will no longer be included when the overview is created.
- The Excel export of the CO overview is now generated as an Excel table. This keeps the column headers visible (fixed) when scrolling.
Export to NET Build
- The performance of segment grouping during export to NET Build has been improved.
Redlining
- When transferring projects or data from Redlining or NET Scan to NET Engineering, all existing document links are now automatically carried over. Previously linked documents are preserved - only missing links are added, ensuring that manually created documents are not accidentally removed.
- During import from NET Build, Redlining measurement lines are now correctly recognized and created.
- After Redlining data transfer, the CAD lengths of split segments are now recalculated correctly.
- After Redlining data transfer, the duct length in segments is no longer set to 0 m due to the transferred user length.
- A bug in the Redlining data transfer was fixed that caused the color scheme for inner ducts to be set incorrectly in configurations with multiple duct bundles.
Validation
- A new cable validation has been added to NET Engineering. This validation checks whether the start and end points of cables are located close enough to the associated closures or terminators. If the distance is too large, an error is displayed. The validation can be executed via the validation window, supporting more reliable documentation and planning of cable connections.
- In validations, the group-level context menu entries (including "Open dialog", "Highlight", and "Highlight + Zoom") are enabled again when issues are present. This means the related issues/forms can be opened or highlighted via right-click as usual after validation-regardless of whether AutoCAD 2024 or 2025 is used.
