Release Notes - NET Scan 1.2.18

This release enhances NET Scan, particularly with continuous scanning and improved user guidance during capture. In addition, issues related to map display, photos, markups, positioning, and the scan preview have been fixed.

🚀 New Features

  • Continuous Scanning: Multiple consecutive scans can now be captured within a single scan session. This makes it possible to capture longer areas without unnecessary gaps and to reuse previous markups directly for the next scan.

  • Information on AI-Assisted Photo Analysis: Users are now informed before capturing or importing a photo that AI-based analysis will be performed. For generated detection masks, users are also informed that AI-generated results may contain errors.

🛠 Improvements & Optimizations

  • Simplified Login: Parts of the NET Cloud server address are now completed automatically, making it easier to enter the address when logging in.

  • Last Server Address Is Saved: The most recently used NET Cloud instance is retained after logout and suggested again the next time the user logs in.

  • Warning for Scans Without Markups: When saving, NET Scan can now check whether a scan contains any markups and notify the user if necessary. This helps prevent important information from being accidentally omitted.

  • Direct Navigation for Missing Information: If a scan cannot be uploaded due to missing layers, required attributes, or photo tags, the app takes the user directly to the affected section.

  • Improved Usability During Upload and Processing: Status indicators for ongoing upload and processing operations no longer cover important controls on the map.

  • Default Titles for Scan Photos: Uploaded photos automatically use the associated address as their default title.

  • Synchronized Markups During Continuous Scanning: Connected or snapped markups between scans within the same scan session are now synchronized consistently.

🐞 Bugfixes

  • Missing Location Permission: If location access is disabled on the device, the user now receives a clear message instead of the “Determining location” message being displayed indefinitely.

  • Manual Positioning at the Scan Limit: If the second manual positioning point is still missing when the maximum scan size is reached, the user is now notified accordingly.

  • Empty Photo Titles and Descriptions: For uploaded photos without a title or description, the “Type here” placeholder is no longer incorrectly displayed as actual content.

  • Object Types Can Be Deselected Again: Selected object types can once again be removed or deselected in the markup details.

  • Protection Against Accidental Loss of Photos: When cancelling a project photo capture after photos have already been taken, a confirmation prompt is now displayed.

  • Crash When Opening Full-Screen Photos: An issue that could cause the app to crash when opening a photo in full-screen mode has been fixed.

  • Scan Quality Indicator on iOS: The help information for the visual scan quality indicator is now displayed correctly again on iOS 18.1.1.

  • Nested Multi-Selection: Multi-level selection fields configured with nested multi-select options are now displayed correctly again.
