The data in the “Street Center Lines” feature class is the basis for automatically generating data in the “Possible Trenches” feature class. You can import these directly from available data or digitize them manually. Data sources are topographical or cadastral information.
If no topographic or cadastral information is available to you, you can download street center lines as shape files free of charge from the Geofabrik online portal: http://download.geofabrik.de/
This data is imported into the “Street Center Lines” feature class.
Opening the form
The following options are available for opening the form:
- In the Industry Model Explorer by right-clicking on Feature class > Show form
additionally, for feature classes with geometry,
- by double-clicking on the geometry in the graphic window
- by single-clicking on the geometry in the graphic window and display the form by pressing the button in the Industry-Model Explorer
The form consists of a “Street Center Lines” main form and the detailed form for “Planning Attribute value”.
Form details
Street center lines are given the following attributes by default:
Main form |
|
Attribute / Form entry / Button |
Meaning |
Postcode |
ZIP code |
City |
City |
Street |
Street |
Abbreviation |
Street abbreviation |
Private? (atesio optimizer only) |
YES/NO for the identification of ownership. |
Is Included |
Determines whether the record will be considered in the planning. If NO, no possible trenches are generated in the preprocessing. |
Width |
The Width attribute defines the street width. When preprocessing the data, this value is converted when generating possible trenches. Width > 0: Target width for generating possible trenches during preprocessing Width = 0: The street center line is not mirrored This is a required field. |
Create Crossings (Comsof optimizer only) |
YES/NO: During preprocessing, crossings are / are not created. |
Maximum amount of ducts (Comsof optimizer only) |
Limits the shared use of the street center line to the defined number of ducts. Caution: The value applies per network layer. Under certain circumstances, this restriction is ignored if the network could not otherwise be calculated. |
Maximum amount of cables (Comsof optimizer only) |
Limits the shared use of the street center line to the defined number of cables. Caution: The value applies per network layer. Under certain circumstances, this restriction is ignored if the network could not otherwise be calculated. |
Maximum amount of fibers (Comsof optimizer only) |
Limits the shared use of the street center line to the defined number of fibers. Caution: The value applies per network layer. Under certain circumstances, this restriction is ignored if the network could not otherwise be calculated. |
Trench type |
Defines the surface / construction method of roads/streets; dedicated costs can be stored in the rules for the calculation for each type. |
Possible Trenches |
Jump button to the possible trenches generated from the respective street center line in the preprocessing. |
Excluded Layers |
In order to prohibit the use of the street center line for certain layers, the corresponding check box must be activated. This attribute is transferred to the possible trenches during preprocessing. |
Duct Type Constraint (Comsof optimizer only) |
This attribute is used to restrict the use of ducts to certain duct types for the respective record. During preprocessing, this attribute is transferred to the resulting possible trenches and crossings. |
Detailed form for Planning Attribute Value | |
Attribute / Form entry / Button |
Meaning |
Value |
User-defined attribute value |
Attribute |
User-defined attribute name |
Feature |
FID of the record to which the planning attribute value belongs |
CAUTION
Planning attribute values of the “street center lines” are not transferred to the “possible trenches” during the preprocessing for performance reasons. However, they are not lost, but are assigned to the corresponding NET Engineering trenches when creating the detailed planning.
