Duct type

In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining duct types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the Duct form or in Industry-Model Explorer > Duct > Duct > Duct type. You can find a detailed description for creating duct types under “Managing duct types”.

Tabs

The form for the duct type consists of two parts. The upper part applies to the duct or multi-duct bundle. The lower part is for the subordinate ducts of a multi-duct bundle.

Attribute Description
Name Enter the name of the duct type here. (1)
Duct configuration for the outer duct (2)
Drawing size The drawing size with which the duct type is to be shown in the trench cross section must be entered. (a)
Duct template If a specific duct template is to be assigned to the duct type, it can be selected here. The duct template must be newly created for newly created duct types. (b)
Info Entry of information regarding the duct type (c)
Active Only active duct types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for ducts. (d)
Duct bundle Configuration for inner ducts (3)
The inner ducts are configured in the corresponding detailed form. Inner ducts with different duct types can be assigned. (a)
Duct type  The duct type of the subordinate duct can be selected from the drop-down list. (I)
Inner duct template The duct template of the inner duct can be assigned. (II)
Number of inner ducts The number of inner ducts can be entered. (III)
Position of inner duct type The position of the inner duct may be determined. (IV)
Description A designation placeholder may be specified for the numbering of the inner ducts. For example, {BUNDLE}.{NR:00}, where BUNDLE stands for the name of the composite duct, which is prefixed to each microduct number. With NR:00, each microduct is numbered consecutively—starting with “01”. The point between name and number can be replaced by any other character, just as any character can be added before or after the placeholder. (b)
Duct color The colors of the inner ducts can be defined via a selected color scheme. By clicking on mceclip4.png, the selected color scheme can be edited or a new one can be created. (c)
Manufacturer’s details (4)
Manufacturer This is where the manufacturer can be selected from the database. (a)
Designation The designation of the manufacturer for the duct type can be entered. (b)
Order number The order number can be entered. (c)
Material cost Specification of the cost and currency for the material. (d)
Service cost Specification of the cost for the service. (e)
Description The description of the duct type can be entered here. (f)
Assigned ducts The number of ducts to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on mceclip2.png lists all ducts that use the current duct type. The mceclip3.png button shows all ducts to which a duct type has been assigned in the filter. (5)
Documents This displays whether documents have been attached to the form. (6)


Menu items

You can create a new duct template for each duct type using the “Edit” menu.

If changes have been made to the duct type, all ducts of this type can be adjusted using the “Adjust ducts” menu item.
