In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining Terminator Types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Type field in the TP Terminator form or in Industry-Model Explorer > TP Network > TP Terminator > TP Terminator Type.

| Only A-pins | It can be defined whether only A-pins or A/B-pins are to be generated. (5) |
| Pin type | The Pin type can be selected from a drop-down list. (6) |
| Designation scheme for pin | The designation scheme for the numbering of the pins can be specified. (7) |
| Adjust terminators | All terminators that have been assigned this Terminator Type can be adjusted to the changed settings. (8) |

| Manufacturer | Selection of the manufacturer from a drop-down list. (9) |
| Designation | A designation can be specified. (10) |
| Order number | Specification of the order number. (11) |
| Material cost | Specification of the cost and currency for the material. (12) |

| Description | The description of the type can be entered here. (14) |
| Documents | Whether documents have been attached to the form is displayed. (15) |
| Assigned terminators | The number of TP Terminators to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on  lists all TP Terminators that use the current type. The  button displays all TP Terminators to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (16) |
