In NET Engineering, users have the option of defining cable types themselves. The form is opened by double-clicking in the Cable-type field in the TP Cable Section form or in Industry-Model Explorer > TP network > TP Cable Section > TP Cable Type.

Wire amount | The total number of wires in the cable is specified and it is selected whether they are single or double wires. This field can be modified only when no selection has been made yet—regardless of whether or not cable sections have already been assigned—or the cable type has not yet been assigned to a cable section. Wire type | The wire type assigned to the cable type is displayed or can be selected from a drop-down list using . Double-clicking on the list box opens the detailed form for managing the Wire type. (3) |

Wire name |
The designation scheme for the wire names can be selected from a drop-down list. Double-clicking on the list box opens the detailed form for managing the Name schemes. The Name scheme editor can be opened with the button. (5) |
Wire color code | The color scheme for wires can be selected from a drop-down list. Double-clicking on the list box opens the detailed form for managing the Name schemes. The Name scheme editor can be opened with the button. (6) |
Active | Only active types can be selected from the drop-down list in the detailed form for TP Cables. (7) |

Manufacturer | Selection of the manufacturer from a drop-down list. (8) |

Assigned cables | The number of TP Cables to which this type is assigned is displayed. Clicking on lists all FM Cables that use the current type. The button displays all TP Cables to which a type has been assigned in the filter. (16) |
Note
If fields 2/3 and 5/6 have been populated, the wires will be automatically generated in accordance with the predefined schemes when the cable type is selected in the cable section detailed form.
Menu items
You can adapt cable sections to the respective cable type via the "Edit" menu.
If changes have been made to the cable type, all cable sections to which this cable type is assigned can be adjusted.
