“Duct Type Constraint” limits the use of “Street Center Lines”, “Possible trenches” and “Ducts” by the optimization to certain duct types.
Values for “Duct Type Constraint” are created in the form and then assigned to the corresponding records for “Street Center Lines”, “Possible trenches” and “Ducts”.
“Duct Type Constraint” is only supported by the Comsof optimizer.
The corresponding duct types (which must be defined in advance in the rules) must be assigned to the records of the “Duct Type Constraint” in the rules in the common tab under duct classes. Caution: No selection means no restriction.
Opening the form
The following options are available for opening the form:
- In the Industry Model Explorer by right-clicking on Feature class > Show form
- by double-clicking in the “Duct Type Constraint” field in the form for “Street Center Lines”, “Possible trench” or “Ducts”

Creating new records
New entries for “Duct Type Constraint” can be created via the icon in the footer of the form. Enter a name for the “Duct Type Constraint”. Please be sure to avoid entries of the same name.
