Splice

Splices are point objects that serve to connect different line objects, such as wires or wires and pins.

Tabs

Information about the point, services and wires connected in the splice can be found in the “General” home tab.

Attribute Description
Service If a service is assigned to the splice, the name of the service is displayed here. Double-clicking in the list box opens the form for the service. (1)
Splice type The splice type is displayed and can be changed. Double-clicking in the list box opens the form for the splice type. The “Active” field indicates whether the work order with which the splice was created has been activated. (2)
Installation location The feature class and the name of the point where the splice was created are displayed. The form for the point is opened via the mceclip2.png button. The mceclip1.png button highlights the point in the graphic. (3)
Work order The name of the work order with which the splice was activated or disconnected is displayed. The person and connection/disconnection date specified in the work order are displayed. (4)
Connections The elements connected to the splice are displayed. (5)
The names of the wires and the cable sections in which they were produced are displayed. (a)
The name of the pin is displayed. (b)
Information Information on the splice can be entered. (6)
Details The number of stored splice data is displayed under Details. The form for the splice data is opened via the mceclip2.png button. (7)
Documents This displays whether documents have been attached to the form. (8)


Menu items

A Connection Overview can be displayed via “Network exploration”.

Services can be transferred to and removed from the selected network path or the network paths of the elements in the filter via the “Edit” menu.

A service can be transferred from the splice to the network path.
A service can be transferred from the splices in the filter to the corresponding network paths.
A service can be removed from the network path starting from the splice.
A service can be removed from the corresponding network paths starting from the splices in the filter.

The TP Connection Plan and the forms for the generated labels can be opened via the “Overviews/Reports” menu.

Splice data

The detailed form for Splice data is opened under Details in the detailed form for splices:

Information for a splice, such as frequency and attenuation, are managed in the “General” home tab.

1. The FID of the splice to which the splice data is assigned is displayed.
2. Frequency selection Double-clicking in the list box opens the form for the Frequency.
